MEET OUR BOARD
Mrs. Ana I. Rivera de Ramos
President and Founder of The PRHCCPC 2007 to present ;
Mrs. Rivera Born in Puerto Rico and raised in the neighborhood of The South Bronx NYC. She has 40 plus years in merchandising , marketing , sales , management , product development and the arts. Mrs. Rivera de Ramos founded The PRHCCPC in 2007 along with a group of framily members believing in the same vision she had for this community of growing Latinos. Launching a chamber of commerce for those small businesses wanting a voice where there was none was her vision & mission. Bringing with her a background, plus expertise and being trained by top companies such as : JCPenney , Marshall's , Macy's , Lladro , Pajama Company of America and having retired from a for profit higher educational institution , allowed her to share and bring even more to the table to those she serves , giving each prospective and active member a listening ear to all who wish to have access to her help and advise. These past experiences have helped her in all the areas needed by a professional to lead a group and a chamber of commerce for over 18 years.
Anita, as many call her, look to her for guidance and mentoring when it comes to building a chain of networking, business development and at times an ear on more personal issues. Her extensive knowledge in procuring merchandise , costing and product development has allowed her to use these skills to in turn help her community of The PRHCCPC active & prospective future members. In 2019 she retired and stepped down as Lead Chair from the Board for The Mayor's Hispanic Advisory Council for Lakeland (one she co-founded with then Mayor Wiggs), now she has returned to this post in the Spring of 2025, is a community contributor to the Polk Academies Board, Previous Vice President of LULAC Council of Central Florida # 7265 , now President of The Women 4 Lulac Council 7269, Past EX-Deputy State Director for Women's Affairs for LULAC State and is a member of P.A.C.E. / Polk Association of Chamber Executives. Additionally, she is Vice Chair to The Attendance Boundary Committee to the Polk County School Board. She is also the past Chair to The City of Bartow's Citizens Advisory Council. Additionally she is a Government TV host of the "Que Pasa Polk Show" on PGTV now for 13 years & counting , for the Polk Board of County Commissioners.
As a wife and a mother , at the tender age of 67 she looks forward to continuing her work and in hopes to hand it down to the new generation that is being transformed by a new generation of entrepreneurs here within our fastest growing county in all of the USA.
